Online Homeschool Writing Curriculum for Families

Enrollment includes the complete American Emergent Curriculum delivered in eight-week sessions, 400+ educator training films, printable lesson materials, Transparent Classroom progress and portfolio tools, live weekly educator support, and access to the School House member community. Optional physical TSH Materials Boxes are available separately. Writing is incorporated into an interconnected curriculum alongside reading, math, science, art, civics, and character learning.

The School House does not present writing as an isolated subject. Instead, writing is integrated throughout an interconnected curriculum, allowing children to write in response to ideas they encounter in literacy, science, math, art, civics, and other areas. This approach gives writing a meaningful purpose while helping learners practice communication, reflection, organization, and critical thinking within broader learning experiences.

The homeschool program serves learners from Pre-K through 8th grade, generally children ages 3 to 12. Curriculum sessions are designed to support developmentally appropriate learning while giving parents clear instructional guidance. Families can use the materials, training films, printables, and progress tools to create a prepared home learning environment suited to their child’s stage and pace.

The monthly plan is $125 per learner for 10 monthly payments during the school year. The annual plan is $1,200 per learner when paid upfront for the full year. Both options include the same curriculum, training films, printables, Transparent Classroom access, live weekly support, and member community access. Optional physical materials boxes are purchased separately.

Parents begin by reviewing the curriculum pages and educator training films before presenting lessons at home. The training library contains more than 400 films intended to explain the approach and support lesson delivery. Families can also attend live weekly educator and founder support sessions, review recordings later, participate in office hours, and connect with other members for practical encouragement.

Families use Transparent Classroom, an online progress and portfolio tool included with enrollment. It helps parents document completed work, organize learning evidence, and maintain a personalized record of each learner’s development. The system supports the curriculum’s reporting process and gives families a practical way to keep writing samples, lesson progress, and other educational materials together over the school year.

The curriculum is designed to be screen-minimal. While parents use digital curriculum resources, training films, support sessions, and progress tools, learners work with printables, lesson materials, and activities in a prepared home environment.
