Hands-On Homeschool Curriculum That Makes Learning Real

A strong hands-on homeschool option combines clear academic goals with active exploration, projects, manipulatives, discussion, art, and real-world applications. The School House American Emergent Curriculum is designed to connect reading, writing, math, science, civics, and creativity within shared lessons. Families also receive printables, educator training films, live support, and progress tools rather than needing to assemble those resources separately.

The School House Homeschool program offers the American Emergent Curriculum for learners from Pre-K through 8th grade, generally serving children around ages 3 to 12. Lessons are organized in eight-week sessions, allowing children to spend meaningful time exploring connected themes. Parents can use the curriculum to create a prepared home learning environment while adapting daily pacing to their child’s readiness.

Hands-on learning does not remove academic structure; it gives skills a meaningful context. The curriculum weaves reading, writing, math, and science into interdisciplinary lessons alongside art, civics, entrepreneurship, gratitude, kindness, and exploration. Children work with printables, discussion, activities, and projects to engage ideas actively. This connected format helps learners understand how individual subjects relate to everyday questions and experiences.

No formal teaching credential is required. The program includes more than 400 educator training films that help parents understand the lesson purpose, preparation, and delivery. Families can also join live weekly educator and founder support sessions, access scheduled office hours, and connect with the member community. These resources are designed to give parents practical guidance as they build their homeschooling routine.

The monthly plan is $125 per learner for 10 monthly payments during the school year. The annual plan is $1,200 per learner when paid upfront. Both options include the same curriculum, educator training films, printables and lesson materials, Transparent Classroom tracking, live weekly support, and member community access. Optional physical TSH Materials Boxes are available separately.

The curriculum is intentionally screen-minimal for the child’s learning experience. Children primarily engage with lessons, printables, materials, conversation, and hands-on activities in their home environment. Screens are used as a support for the parent or educator through training films, live sessions, and digital tools such as progress tracking. This keeps technology focused on preparation and support rather than replacing active learning.

Enrolled families use Transparent Classroom, a personalized progress and portfolio-tracking tool. Parents can document completed work, observe growth over time, and organize records in one place as lessons unfold. The system supports the program’s three-part model: parents learn the material, guide the child through lessons in a prepared environment, and track the learner’s progress through ongoing reporting and portfolio documentation.

Yes. Enrollment includes access to The School House Member Community, where families can share ideas and receive encouragement. The program also provides live weekly support sessions, recorded sessions for later viewing, office hours, podcasts, weekly email updates, and bi-weekly newsletters. In addition, the Mighty Networks community is free and open to anyone, including families who are not current curriculum subscribers.
