Ashlee recalls standing in her childhood home, rearranging refrigerator magnets to teach her baby brother about the alphabet. Her own passion for learning carved a path in her future that she could not ignore. Ashlee began and ended her journey into higher education in the same place, Molloy College. Ashlee entered into the Molloy Honors Program, which focused on Global Citizenship. In this program she was chosen as the Youth Representative to the United Nations through the Partnership for Global Justice. She attended events, meetings, and seminars at the UNHQ throughout her years in college to learn about the field of education on a Global Scale. Her focus was the Sustainable Development goals for 2030, more specifically “By 2030 there will be equitable education for all.” Ashlee believes that the key to making positive changes in the education system is to include the teachers, and felt it was her duty to become involved. Ashlee Graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2020 with her BA/ MA in Childhood and Special Education, and a minor in theology and religious studies and history. She was a member of Kappa Delta Pi, Molloy Education Club, a tutor for students transitioning to life skills programs, and a Student Ambassador.
