The School House Anywhere ("TSH Anywhere," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of the families, parents, guardians, educators, school leaders and other individuals who use our websites, curriculum programs, digital platforms and related services.

TSH Anywhere is operated as part of The School House and is home to the American Emergent Curriculum. Our educational model is designed to provide children with a hands-on, human-centered and screen-free learning experience while providing the adults responsible for their education with curriculum, training, planning tools, educational resources and support.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

This Privacy Policy applies to the TSH Anywhere website, landing pages, membership services, digital platform, account dashboards, curriculum services, online communities and other websites or online services that link to this Privacy Policy.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with TSH Anywhere.

As part of the TSH Anywhere program, an adult account holder may choose to provide information concerning a Learner in order to organize, personalize and document the Learner's educational experience.

Depending on the features being used, this information may include:

Lessons completed
Educational progress
Observations
Assessments
Learning goals
Work samples or portfolio materials
Educational preferences
Notes entered by the parent, guardian or educator

We encourage users to provide only information reasonably necessary to use the educational features of TSH Anywhere. Parents and guardians should not provide unnecessary sensitive personal information about a child.

4. JONESY AND AI-SUPPORTED FEATURES

TSH Anywhere may include artificial-intelligence-supported tools, including the TSH Anywhere teaching companion known as "Jonesy."

These tools are intended to assist the adult responsible for the Learner's education. They may help organize lessons, observations, schedules, assessments, curriculum information and suggested educational next steps.

Information entered into an AI-supported feature may be processed in order to provide the requested feature or response.

TSH Anywhere may use third-party technology providers to support these functions. When service providers process personal information on our behalf, we seek to limit their use of that information to providing or supporting the TSH Anywhere service and other purposes permitted by our agreements with them and applicable law.

Parents and educators should avoid entering unnecessary sensitive information into AI-supported features.

AI-generated recommendations are intended to assist parents and educators and are not a substitute for the judgment of a parent, guardian, qualified educator, health professional or other appropriate professional.

5. CHILDREN AND LEARNER PRIVACY

Protecting children and preserving childhood are central principles of The School House and TSH Anywhere.

The TSH Anywhere online platform is intended primarily for adults, including parents, guardians, educators, school leaders and other individuals responsible for children's education.

Children should not independently create TSH Anywhere accounts or submit personal information to TSH Anywhere unless the feature has been specifically designed for their use and all required parental or guardian permissions have been obtained.

Parents, guardians and educators may provide limited information about Learners when necessary to use curriculum-planning, progress-tracking, assessment, portfolio or related educational features.

We seek to collect only information reasonably necessary to provide these services.
We do not sell Learner personal information for monetary consideration.
We do not use Learner personal information to target advertising directly to children.

Where applicable law requires parental consent before particular information may be collected, used or disclosed, TSH Anywhere will seek the required consent before engaging in that activity.

A parent or guardian may contact us to request access to personal information maintained about their child, request correction or deletion of that information, or request that we stop collecting or using the child's information, subject to legal and operational requirements.

TSH Anywhere endeavors to handle children's information in accordance with applicable children's privacy laws, including the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and applicable state privacy laws.

6. SCHOOL AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION ACCOUNTS

TSH Anywhere may also provide curriculum or related services to schools, districts, microschools, co-ops and other educational organizations.

When TSH Anywhere processes student information on behalf of a school or educational institution, additional contractual terms or privacy requirements may apply.

Where applicable, student information provided through a school or educational institution will be used only for authorized educational purposes and in accordance with applicable agreements and law.

Certain student information may also be subject to education-specific privacy requirements, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act where applicable.

When an educational institution has entered into a separate agreement with TSH Anywhere concerning student data, that agreement may provide additional protections or requirements.

If paid TSH Anywhere subscriptions, products or services are purchased online, payment information may be processed by a third-party payment processor.

We generally do not need to store complete credit or debit card information when payment information is processed directly by an authorized payment processor.
